As the car wash environment operates with 24 VAC power, the Microcoin QL coin validator is provided with a power board which derives 12 VDC from the 24 VAC to power the mechanism. In addition to providing a buffer from the electrical environment of the car wash, 3 relay outputs provide coin and token information to the wash system.
Environmental Protection
The Microcoin coin acceptor is protected against the harsh car wash environment through the use of extensive conformal coating techniques. This includes conformally coating the validator PCB's and using silicone sealant where applicable. The acceptor housing also contains drain holes, specifically designed to allow any liquid to drain away from the coin unit.
